Nana's Brain
Bubba ask me if I knew where his brain was I said yes and pointed to his head. He then ask me if I knew where his bones were I said yes and pointed to his arm and said that they were the hard thing under his skin. Then Bubba ask me if I knew where my brain was I said yes and pointed to my head. He said no guess again. I tried to reason with him and explain my brain was the same place that his was. Again he said no. I ask him where he thought my brain was and he said that Daddy had taken it out of my head and washed it in the shower. Now I know what causes all my problems!
Killer Turkey
Last Friday afternoon Mommy, Bubba, and Sissy walked over to visit with me. When they decided to walk back home we all went out on the porch. Mommy ask me if I saw the big turkey across the road but Nana's eyes are not what they should be and I thought it was a white trash bag. Well as we all stood and watched the turkey walked to the edge of his side of the road and Rocko (our wild Winnie dog) walked to the edge of our side of the road.
The turkey got mad and chased Rocko all the way up to the house. The closer the fight got to us the more we laughed....until we saw that it wasn't going to stop and was coming too close for comfort. We ended up with all four of us standing at the storm door unable to get past the killer turkey. I got brave and told Mommy that I was going for the broom that was on my sidewalk. Needless to say I didn't make it very far when I had to yell at the turkey to try to make it leave and he turned, puffed up, and chased me back into the house we had to wait until the owners came home to get him. Nana's house is always full of surprises.
Nana and Sissy also got to go to Bubba's Valentine party at school. Sissy had a ball. She got to sit with Bubba at his table and get all the goodies that Bubba got. This may be the reason that Mommy took them for a walk.

Cocoa Pebbles
Last week Bubba, Sissy, and I were watching SpongeBob when a commercial for Cocoa Pebbles came on. We had to have a long talk about how the next time that we went to town we would have to get a box of that wonderful cereal. Well when Mommy got home she was putting up the groceries that she brought home when Bubba and Sissy let out a squeal of delight. Yes, Mommy had brought home Cocoa Pebbles. The excitement was so great that I was concerned that my heart couldn't take it and took the opportunity to make my exit. I think Mommy was also concerned for me because she later thanked me for leaving, or was it THANKS FOR LEAVING ME! Any way.... when we got home for school Bubba had to have Cocoa Pebbles. He had a very small bowl (so I thought) and we refilled it several times. Bubba and Sissy were watching TV and I went out to get their drinks. I walked back into the room to find just how many Cocoa Pebbles would fit on Mommy and Daddy's new large area rug. Needless to say Bubba and Sissy got to take turns using the vacuum to clear away the chocolaty goodness.

Happy New Year!
2009...I can't beleive that 2008 is already over. I've always been told that after high school (the longest years of your life) that the years will pick up speed. They are flying by now. I've never really thought about my age but do find myself thinking about my sons ages and now Bubba and Sissy. I can't wait to see what they all make of their lives and the lives that they create. Ok, too much drama for the 1st day of the year!!!!
I went over to MaMa and PaPa's for lunch today and to see Bubba and Sissy. After all I haven't seen them all year (remind me of that in May!) They were so wired that it surprised me. MaMa and PaPa looked rather well for the night of excitement. Bubba is talking bigger and bigger. Sissy still refuses to let any one other than the family know she talks at all (except for NO!) Bubba met Mommy and Daddy at the door to tell them that he got to do last night and I don't think that Mommy and Daddy have any secrets left either. Sissy just wanted to eat. As they left they were going shopping. I just smiled because I already knew that when they entered the toy isles (which you can't get away from after Christmas because of all the sales) there would be one thing that they would hear time and time again. "I want that toy." "We aren't getting toys today because Santa just came to see you." "But why?" "Because you got toys for Christmas." "But why?" "Because you have new toys at home." "But why?" And it always ends with, "Because I said so!"

Alone...
I didn't have the kids today so I tried to clean the house. I think I'd rather have the kids!!! I miss them so much when they aren't with me but WOW the rest was nice. Bubba and Sissy are bringing in the new year with MaMa & PaPa. Their Great Grandparents (my Parents) think that these kids hung the moon. I called to check in more than I should have but even now I wonder if I was checking on Bubba and Sissy or MaMa and PaPa. Well, I guess it was a little of both.

Last day I'll have them for the year...
Today is the last day that I'll have Bubba and Sissy until next year. Sounds like a long time but Next year is just a day away now. Sissy was the first one up again today. We've got to enjoy a little snuggle time yesterday morning and this morning. One of first things you will notice about Sissy is that no matter what happens she responds in the same way, a quick deep breath. As soon as I heard that yesterday morning and again this morning I knew why she did it. Bubba's up! You would think that they had not seen each other for days when they wake up but within a hour or so they're pinching, hitting, and trying to bite! Bubba has met his match and Sissy knows how to take up for herself. They are going to be the kids that rough each other up but no one else better try. I don't think that I would like to be on the receiving end of both of them. They have a coffee table in the living room and today Bubba thought that if he could get enough blankets on it he could make it a bed. And yes, this he did. You may ask yourself, "What was Nana thinking, the kids could fall off and get hurt!" Well the thought did go through my head then I did the pro and con thing: Pro - the kids are not fighting they are hugging up to keep on the coffee table, so all I have to is supervise. Con - I'll have to play hide-n-seek, red light green light, and Simon says again. We also made a coffee table bus. I also already knew that the coffee table is on the way out. My day ended with one on each knee. They were on them because I refused to let them ride them. When they were trying I tried to explain that my legs hurt and I just couldn't be a horsey today. Bubba of course said,"But why Nana?" I told him that they were just to sore and he reached down rubbed my leg and looked up at me and said, "They don't feel sore any more." Well what can I say but "giddy-up".
